Youssoufa Moukoko the new Dortmund rising star who can be in contention to play for the Dortmund Senior Team..

Moukoko turned 16 on Friday and it means he's eligible to be selected in Lucien Favre's squad to take on Hertha Berlin and can also be included in their UCL Squad.

He has dominated the German outfit's youth ranks since signing from St Pauli in 2016.
Moukoko netted 33 goals in 21 matches in the 2017/18 season for the Under 15's side and then, aged just 12, made the step up to the Bundesliga outfit's Under 17 team. There, he notched a record-setting 50 goals in 28 games.
The Cameroon-born German youth international has been tipped to become a star by Dortmund teammate Erling Haaland.

"Moukoko is much better than I was at his age," he stated per BBC Sport. "I have never seen such a good 15-year-old in my life."

When asked about a potential partnership with the Norweigan, Moukoko told Goal:

"He's funny and jokes with me in training. We talk to each other and I've already learned a lot from him. I learned how explosively he goes into his depths. This combination would also fit: Moukoko and Erling. It won't be fun for the opponents at all."

Barcelona and Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o also speaks fondly of Moukoko and thinks he'll earn a blockbuster transfer down the road

"There is a young player at Borussia Dortmund. His name is Youssoufa Moukoko. He is 15 years old and the next big player for me after Messi," Eto'o told Goal per OneFootball.

"As Lionel is getting older, we could prepare well for the future at Barcelona."
He added: "With Antoine (Griezmann) and Youssoufa on the front line, the team would be in a great position."

Moukoko idolises Messi, who sent him a special gift for his 15th birthday, and he wants to emulate the Argentine and win the Ballon d'Or.

But Dortmund are believed to have tied him down until 2022, while German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten claim the starlet has secured himself a $1 million Nike deal and received a seven-figure fee upfront.

Moukoko is only young and Dortmund will be worried about overhyping him, but the future certainly looks bright.
